Stacy Rogg Blog: Rollercoaster Start to Season
The last few weeks have been like a rollercoaster ride for the volleyball team. We had a great win against Findlay that fired the team up for the upcoming game against Lake Erie. We started the Lake Erie game with a new lineup to change things up and ended up winning against Lake Erie three games to one.
The team was pumped entering homecoming weekend. With the two wins and with school spirit rising for the weekend, the team was ready to take on Ashland. We rallied in the first game and ended up winning 26-24, but slow starts in the next three games made us come up short, and we lost 19-25, 20-25, and 20-25.
The team then traveled the winding roads of West Virginia to take on West Liberty. We came out and beat them three straight. We then came home and took on a big rival of ours, the Tiffin Dragons. We started out losing the first game 23-25. We rallied back, beating the Dragons the next two games, 25-19 and 25-15. Tiffin came back to take the fourth game 25-18. The fifth game we started off slow, but still challenged the Dragons. Unfortunately, we fell short, losing 15-11.
We have had a lot of ups and downs throughout the past couple weeks. However, the team is determined to keep working hard to get ready for our games this week!
