Rob Rowland returns for his fifth season as a member of the Ohio Dominican football coaching staff.  Rowland’s responsibilities include assisting with the Panthers’ defense, specifically the Panthers’ linebackers, and he also acts as the football team's academic coordinator.

In the team’s first season in the GLIAC in 2010, linebacker Vincent Vasquez garnered all-conference distinctions after leading the GLIAC with 12.5 tackles per contest, and fellow linebacker Mark Markakis was the first Panther to earn Player of the Week honors after registering a school-record 20 tackles in the win over Findlay.

Rowland brings an extensive coaching résumé that spans both the high school and collegiate levels. He began his coaching career at Clovis High School in New Mexico and was also a defensive coordinator at East High School, Service High School and Bartlett High School in Anchorage, Alaska. Rowland was named the Assistant Coach of the Year in 1998 while at Bartlett.

Rowland recently retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. While in the Air Force, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Occupational Education and Management from Wayland Baptist University. He is originally from Robertsdale, Alabama and graduated from Robertsdale High School.

Rowland resides in Pickerington, Ohio with his wife Susan, daughter Rachael and son Ryan.
