Marv Whiting is in his third year on the Ohio Dominican coaching staff after a 33-year teaching and coaching career with the Columbus City School District. Whiting assists with the secondary and is in charge of ODU’s outreach program, which has seen the team volunteer throughout the city, including the VA Hospital. He also serves as an assistant coach to Ohio Dominican’s new track and field program, which began in the 2011-12 school year.

Whiting worked as the defensive coordinator at Brookhaven High School and helped guide the team to the Division II state championship in 2004. He also coached track and field.

Whiting, a Cleveland native, attended John Adams High School before graduating from Central State University. He and his wife Carla have two children, Donna and Kenneth.
