    The Ohio Dominican University Athletic Department celebrated another successful season with their annual Senior Banquet of Champions on Wednesday night on the ODU campus in Columbus, Ohio.
  • Taylor Named to John Carroll Hall of Fame

    Ohio Dominican head coach Artie Taylor was recently inducted into the John Carroll University Athletic Hall of Fame. The former men's basketball standout was a member of the largest induction class in history at John Carroll. The class featured athletes from six sports, a record-setting coach and a history-making team.

    In their first and only season in the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) the Ohio Dominican men's basketball team made it to the championship game of the conference tournament and this week had three players recently named to the 2009-10 All-Conference Team.

  • Panthers Fall Short in A.I.I. Championship, 65-60

    The Ohio Dominican men's basketball team fell just short of grabbing their first NAIA National Tournament berth since the 2001-2002 on Sunday, losing 65-60 to Johnson and Wales University in the A.I.I. Championship game in Denver, Colorado. The Panthers captured a spot in the championship game after defeating Walla Walla University 86-75 on Saturday evening.
  • ODU Evens Season Series with 92-73 Victory at Urbana

    The Ohio Dominican men's basketball team concluded their regular season on Monday night with a 92-73 road victory over former AMC rival, Urbana University. It was a back-and-forth battle in the opening half, but a 56-point outburst in the second half allowed the Panthers to pull away and spoil the Blue Knights Senior Night.

    The Ohio Dominican men's and women's basketball doubleheader scheduled for Tuesday, February 16th at Urbana University has been postponed due to inclement weather conditions. The Panthers and Blue Knights have rescheduled for Monday, February 22nd with the women's game to start at 6 p.m. followed by the men at 8 p.m.

    The Ohio Dominican men's basketball team could not continue its home court magic, falling to former AMC foe Walsh University, 80-57, in Alumni Hall on Tuesday evening. The Panthers hung tough in the early going, but the Cavaliers proved too much as it lived up to their billing as the No.2 ranked NAIA Division II men's basketball team.

    The Ohio Dominican men's basketball team came up on the losing end of a buzzer beater on Saturday as they lost to future Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) rival Lake Erie College, 68-66. After defeating Central State University on a last second shot earlier in the week, the Panthers came up on the opposite end of a buzzer beater as LEC's Antonio Kidd connected on a jumper with 0.7 second left to edge the Panthers in the non-conference battle.

    The Ohio Dominican men's basketball team capped off an exciting Wednesday evening in Alumni Hall with a 68-67 come from behind victory over the visiting Marauders of Central State University. The Panthers found themselves down 67-65 after a long CSU jumper with 11.9 ticks left on the clock. After a timeout, ODU got the ball in the hands of the team's top three pointer shooter John Trew, who drilled a trey with 0.6 seconds left to give the Panthers the much needed win and avenge an earlier season 83-56 loss to the Marauders.

    The Ohio Dominican men's basketball team didn't have enough fire power on Saturday evening as they dropped a non-conference showdown to NAIA No. 2 ranked Walsh University 80-54 in North Canton, Ohio. With the win the Cavaliers (19-1) extended their current win streak to nine games.

    The Ohio Dominican men's basketball team could not produce the same late game heroics from eight days ago in Alumni Hall as they fell to former AMC foe, Urbana University, 74-72 on Tuesday night. The game was a back and forth battle featuring ten ties and six lead changes, but two late free throws by the Blue Knights sealed the victory for the visitors.

    The Ohio Dominican men's basketball team couldn't overcome a red hot Central State University team that shot a blistering 53 percent from the field as they fell, 83-56, to the Marauders. Central State has won five in a row including Thursday night's game with the Panthers at Beacom-Lewis Gym in Wilberforce, Ohio.

    The Ohio Dominican men's basketball team knocked off former AMC rival and NAIA Division II No. 12 ranked Cedarville University in Alumni Hall on Monday night with a thrilling 65-62 come from behind victory. The win ends a current four game skid and marks the first victory against the Yellow Jackets since a 77-76 home victory on January 6th, 2004 , a span of 12 games.
