COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio Dominican's men's basketball returns home for back-to-back contests in Alumni Hall, squaring off with GLIAC foes Northwood and Wayne State.

Tip-off against Northwood (8-6, 4-4 GLIAC) is slated for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers and Warriors (9-6, 6-3 GLIAC) play at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Panthers averaged 79.0 points per game last week but fell on the road to Salem International (80-72) and Ashland (96-86). ODU nearly rallied from an 18-point deficit at Salem International, cutting the margin to two late in the second half before faltering. The contest against Ashland was a back-and-forth affair, as ODU led by as many as 11 in the first half and fell behind by 12 early in the second before knotting the score at 73 with eight minutes left. Ashland, though, scored the next seven points and pulled away from there.

ODU shot 46.2 percent from the field and 35.5 percent from beyond the arc in the two games. Senior forward Aaron Gibbs (Oberlin, Ohio) averaged team-highs in points (22.0) and rebounds (7.5), as well as 3.5 assists and 1.5 blocks, in the two games. He matched his season-high with 22 points in both contests and shot 58.6 percent from the field.

Senior guard Darrien Douglas (Willard, Ohio) continued his strong scoring output as he dropped in 15.5 points per game, while junior guard Morgan Jones (Oberlin, Ohio) chimed in with 14.0 points per ballgame. Senior center Zak Kapron (Malvern, Ohio) tallied 10.0 points and 6.5 boards per game.

Northwood went 1-1 last week, defeating Grand Valley 63-59 before falling to Ferris State 74-69. Bobby Lewis averages 15.5 points to lead the Timberwolves. Saturday will be the second meeting between Wayne State and ODU, with the Warriors taking a 73-51 win in Detroit in December. Ike Udanoh scored 23 points with nine rebounds in that game, while ODU was led by freshman Bobby Stauffer (Lexington, Ky.), who had 14 points and 11 boards off the bench.
