Men's Golf Sits Sixth After Day One of the G-MAC Championship

LEXINGTON, Ky. After playing 36 holes on day one of the G-MAC Championship at the Big Blue Course at the UK University Club, the Ohio Dominican's men's golf team sits in sixth after shooting 615 on rounds of 302 and 313.

Freshman, Robert Holden (Hortfordshire, England) led the way shooting 74 before shooting an even par 72 in the night cap to sit in a tie for fourth overall.

Senior Drew Wayman (Wapakoneta, Ohio) shot 73 to lead the squad in the first 18 before shooting 80 in the night cap to place in a tie for 18th. Junior Blake Saffell (Somerset, Ohio) is sitting in a tie for 37th after shooting 81 on the first 18 then coming back to shoot a 77 on the second 18.

Freshman Ben Herman (Germantown, Ohio) and sophomore Alex Heban (Toledo, Ohio) sit in a tie for 44th after shooting 162 over the first 36 holes.

The Panthers are back for 18 more on day two of the G-MAC Championships tomorrow at 8 a.m.
