Men's Golf Completes Season at the Strimer Memorial Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's golf team completes their season playing in the Strimer Memorial Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan this weekend at Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio.

Last weekend, the Panthers finished sixth in the G-MAC Championship where freshman Robert Holden (Hertfordshire, England) notched his third top-10 finish of the year finishing tied for sixth with a three round total of 223 including an even par 72 in the second round. Holden leads the Panthers with a 75.6 average this season in 22.5 rounds played.

Holden, fellow freshman Ben Herman (Germantown, Ohio) and senior Drew Wayman (Wapakoneta, Ohio) are the only three Panthers that have played all 22.5 rounds this year.

ODU has four players with an average at 76 led by Herman at 76.2 and Wayman at 76.4. Wayman finished tied for 13th in the G-MAC Championship sandwiching an 80 between a pair of 73's while Herman finished tied for 37th shooting 235 and finishing with a 73 on the final 18. Wayman's six top-20 finishes leads the squad while his three top-10's tie him for the top with Holden.

Junior Blake Saffell (Somerset, Ohio) has played in 20.5 rounds this year with an average of 76.9 with five top-20 finishes. He and sophomore Alex Heban (Toledo, Ohio) finished tied for 42nd at the G-MAC Championship with a three round total of 238. Heban has an average of 77.9 this season in 14 rounds with one top-10 and two top-20's.

The Panthers tee off Saturday afternoon with the first group going off at 1:28 and the final group going off at 2 p.m.
