COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's golf is back in action traveling to the Cedarville Fall Invitational at the Country Club of the North on Monday and Tuesday.
The Panthers are coming off their first win in nearly five year at the Mount Vernon Nazarene Fall Invitational hosted at Chapel Hill Golf Club. ODU had rounds of 303 and 295 in the one day, 36-hole event.
A year ago at the Cedarville Fall Invitational, ODU finished in a tie for second shooting rounds of 309 and 301.
ODU will send an "A' and "B" team consisting of five golfers on each team this week after playing all 11 last week where five recorded top-10 finishes. A week ago, sophomore Robert Holden (Hertfordshire, England) shot rounds of 75 and 72 to finish third overall. A year ago at the Cedarville Fall Invitational, Holden finished tied for ninth posting rounds of 78 and 73.
Senior Blake Saffell (Somerset, Ohio) finished tied for fourth a week ago with rounds of 74 and 75 and a year ago had rounds of 77 and 81 at the Country Club of the North. Sophomore Dalton Crowley (Nashport, Ohio) led the way a year ago for the Panthers finishing tied for seventh overall posting rounds of 72 and 78. A week ago, Crowley finished 16th shooting rounds of 77 and 78.
Fellow sophomore Ben Herman (Germantown, Ohio) had eight birdies to lead ODU and finished tied for eighth with rounds of 77 and 74 at the MVNU Fall Invitational. A year ago at the Country Club of the North, Herman finished tied for 13th with rounds of 76 and 78.
Rounding out the Panther five this week will be sophomore Andrew Berger (Pataskala, Ohio) who finished tied for sixth a week ago at the MVNU Fall Invitational posting rounds of 74 and 76.
Tee times for the Cedarville Fall Invitational begin at 10 a.m. each day.
