OCSA All-Ohio | OCSA Academic All-Ohio
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio Dominican's men's soccer team recently picked up more postseason hardware as senior AJ Mueller (Dublin, OH) and junior Felix Darko (Reynoldsburg, OH) were recognized on the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association Division II/NAIA All-Ohio Teams.
Mueller, the GLIAC's Defensive Player of the Year, received first team honors, while Darko, an All-GLIAC First Team selection, earned second team recognition. Mueller was also selected to the OCSA First Team Academic All-Ohio squad, consisting of Division I, II and NAIA members, with a 3.53 GPA in business administration.
As the defensive anchor, Mueller started all 20 games in the ODU backfield that ranked second in the GLIAC with 22 goals allowed and first with a 1.06 goals against average, while collecting two of the Panthers' four team saves.
Darko tallied team-highs of eight goals, six assists, 22 points, 24 shots on goal and four game-winners and finished tied for third in the conference in both goals and points.
The Panthers turned in a successful inaugural season at the Division II level with an overall record of 13-5-2, a second place finish in the conference with a 9-2-1 mark, and just missed on the GLIAC Tournament Championship, falling 6-5 in a shootout to top seed and No. 21 Ashland.
