COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Dominican men's soccer's Ryan Kasprzak (Hilliard, Ohio) has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District First Team, CoSIDA announced Thursday.
Kasprzak boasts a 3.81 grade point average in exercise science and will be eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors with the award. Kasprzak earned GLIAC Academic Excellence honors as a sophomore. He scored eight goals and dished out four assists this season for Ohio Dominican and led the team to its first postseason appearance since 2013. Kasprzak has scored 24 goals in his career and will enter his senior year tied for sixth in career goals scored in ODUMS history.
The Panthers won six-straight matches in the month of October in the longest win streak for the squad since 2007. Kasprzak was a major part of the late-season success for Ohio Dominican, scoring in six of his final eight matches.
Kasprzak was one of four first team Academic All-District honorees for Ohio Dominican men's and women's soccer on Thursday, all of which will have the opportunity to earn Academic All-America honors from CoSIDA.
