INDIANAPOLIS – Seniors Ryan Kasprzak (Hilliard, Ohio) and Jonathan Barnes (Winter Haven, Fla.) earned All-Great Midwest honors while freshman Tyler Arnold (Westerville, Ohio) was named the freshman of the year as announced by the league office Wednesday at the semifinalists banquet.
Kasprzak was named first team all-conference as he helped lead the Panther offense throughout the year. The senior midfielder was second on the team with six goals and tied for the team lead with three assists in all 18 games played. Kasprzak also led the conference with 63 shots with an average of 3.5 per game
Barnes earned honorable mention honors as he led the Panthers with eight goals and was tied with Kasprzak with three assists while starting all 18 games in his final season. Barnes also notched four game-winning goals which was tied for the league lead.
Arnold helped control the Panther offense in the middle of the field. Arnold was a key contributor to the Panther offense as he notched three goals while also being tied for the team lead with three assists.
ODU finished the season with a 8-9-1 overall record and a 7-6-1 conference record where the earned the fourth seed in the tournament.
