Men's Soccer Drops Home Contest With AB

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's soccer team dropped a Great Midwest Athletic Conference contest against Alderson Broaddus by a final score of 3-1 Thursday night at Panther Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, both offenses came out firing in the second half.

In the contest, AB outshot the Panthers 21-to-10 while ODU had the advantage in corner kicks at 8-to-1 including five in the second half.

AB (4-3-1, 2-1-1) jumped out to a 2-0 second half lead quickly scoring in the 50th minute and then again in the 52nd minute.

The Panther offense answered back quickly thought to cut the deficit in half at 2-1 as junior River Allbaugh (Pickerington, Ohio) found freshman Khalif Hassan (Columbus, Ohio) in the 55th minute.

AB was able to get an insurance goal in the 67th minute as they held on for the 3-1 win.

Junior goalkeeper Ian Crook (Cincinnati, Ohio) recorded four saves on the evening in all 90 minutes between the posts.

Junior Jaxson Szabo (Worthington, Ohio) and sophomore Amadou Mamadou (Columbus, Ohio) each had three shots on the evening for the Panther offense.

The Panthers (2-5-1, 1-2-1) are back in action hosting Ohio Valley at 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Panther Stadium.
