Baker, Crislip Garner All-GLIAC Distinctions

BAY CITY, Michigan - Senior Jennifer Baker (Cortland, OH) and junior Kylee Crislip (Louisville, OH) of Ohio Dominican's softball team were recently selected to the 2011 All-GLIAC Honorable Mention team, released today by the conference office.

As the Panthers' everyday starter in centerfield, Baker (pictured bottom left) collected a team-high 52 hits and a career-best 21 RBI, while finishing second with 33 runs scored and third in the conference with 18 stolen bases. She also ranked third on the team with 60 total bases and 14 walks and ranked fourth in batting average at .317 (52-for-164).

Crislip started all 50 games at first base for ODU and led everyday position players with a .340 (51-for-150) batting average, 11 doubles, 42 RBI, 71 total bases and on-base percentage of .406. Her 51 hits, three homeruns, 17 walks and slugging percentage of .473 all ranked second-best on the team, while her 22 runs scored tied for fifth. The 42 RBI tied for sixth most in the GLIAC this year and was just four shy of the fifth most single season RBI in school history.

ODU finished their opening year at the Division II level with an overall mark of 14-36 and 9-23 in the GLIAC, highlighted by wins in seven of their final 11 contests, including an upset of No. 25 Tiffin and four-game series sweep of Lake Erie.
