COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's softball team will travel to Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday to face the Bellarmine Knights in doubleheader games, with the first pitch of game one set for Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Panthers (5-7, 0-0 GLIAC) have won two of their last three contests entering Sunday's matchups with the Knights, picking up a 4-1 win over Truman on Saturday, February 25 and scoring a 7-6 victory over Drury on Sunday, February 26 at the Midwest Region Crossover.
Junior Taylor Kline (Bellville, Ohio) leads the squad in batting average at .370, which ranks 19th in the GLIAC. Kline has also tallied six stolen bases on the season to rank second in the conference in stolen bases per game. Senior Kelly Wallace (Oshkosh, Wisconsin) bats .324 for ODU, good enough for second on the squad in batting average.
Sophomore Kelly Mix (Baltimore, Ohio) leads the team in slugging percentage, home runs and RBIs. Mix has a .500 slugging percentage, due in part to her three home runs and nine RBIs. Mix's three home runs and nine RBIs rank second in the GLIAC in both categories. Junior Jordan Nichols (Peotone, Ill.) has recorded eight RBIs thus far to rank third in the GLIAC.
The Panthers are led in the circle by sophomore Abby Lamping (Cleves, Ohio), who is 3-2 to start the season and ranks in a tie for first in the GLIAC in wins. Lamping has also recorded 20 strikeouts thus far, ranking fifth in the conference in strikeouts.
Following its contests at Bellarmine on Sunday, the Panthers will look ahead to competition in the NTC Spring Games in Clermont, Florida, facing Kutztown and Seton Hill on Sunday, March 12.
The Knights (9-9) are currently riding a three-game winning streak entering the weekend. The Knights square off against Kentucky State University this Saturday, followed by a doubleheader against ODU on Sunday.
The squad is led by junior outfielder Katie Stamper, who currently has a .400 batting average through 17 games and 18 hits. Stamper has recorded 10 RBIs this year, which ranks in a tie for the team lead with senior Erica Knollman, who leads the team in home runs with three, posting a slugging percentage of .625.
Freshman Sabrina Fussenegger leads the Knights with 13 appearances on the mound this season. She has started five games this season, good for a 3-2 record. She also leads the team in strikeouts with 24. Fellow freshman Alexis Summer leads the team in wins, posting four wins on the year while striking out 13 batters in the process.
The Panthers are currently 1-1 on the season against Bellarmine, winning the contest on February 19 over the Knights by a final score of 3-1.
