COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Senior catcher Kelly Mix (Baltimore, Ohio) was named the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Louisville Slugger Player of the Week.
Mix led the Panther offense that scored 55 runs and went 8-0 on the week with a .524 batting average with 11 hits in 21 at-bats. In those 11 hits, six were extra base-hits with three doubles and three home runs. She had five multi-hit efforts, including a 3-for-4 performance at Tiffin on Sunday. She homered and knocked in three in wins over Cedarville and Hillsdale as well.
The senior catcher finished the week with 13 RBI's and eight runs scored while drawing three walks and two hit by pitches. Her on-base percentage was .615 while her slugging percentage was 1.095 over the week.
Mix and the rest of the Panthers are 17-13 on the season and have won 15 of their last 18 games heading to West Virginia this weekend to take on Alderson Broaddus and Davis & Elkins.
