Shelly Rheinfrank returns to the Ohio Dominican softball coaching staff in 2012, resuming her duties as an assistant coach.

A local product from St. Francis DeSales High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Rio Grande, Rheinfrank enters her eighth overall season with the ODU softball program. During her first stint, Rheinfrank assisted in leading the Panthers to their first ever NAIA national tournament appearance in 2002. She was also a part of four American Mideast Conference titles and helped the Panthers to an overall conference mark of 90-17.

At Rio Grande, Rheinfrank was a four-year starting catcher and three-time All-Mid South Conference selection, finishing her career with a .342 batting average for the Redstorm. She was also a member of the DeSales coaching staff for the summer of 1998 and coached the Columbus Crush U-16 squad from 1999-01.

Presently, Rheinfrank is a Software Specialist with Primary Solutions, a software and services provider headquartered in Columbus.

She currently resides in Blacklick.
