Track And Field To Compete At YSU College Invitational Friday

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Dominican's track and field squad will compete in the YSU College Invitational this Friday, January 19 at the Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) on the campus of Youngstown State University.

The meet marks the third outing of the indoor season for Ohio Dominican. Three Panthers took first place at the Otterbein Invitational this past Saturday, with seniors Justin Carroll (Berea, Ohio) and Chad Ellis (Brook Park, Ohio) finishing in first place in the men's mile and 1000 meter run. Sophomore Megan Tamasovich (Canal Winchester, Ohio) earned top honors in the women's high jump and broke her own school record in the event with a jump of 1.61 meters.

ODU will have 37 student-athletes competing at Youngstown State on Friday. In their first outing of the season, the Panther women and men both finished second at the Marietta College First Glimpse and as a team, the ODU women and men have finished in the top five of both meets to begin the indoor season.
