COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Dominican's track & field team will compete at the Joe Banks Invitational on the campus of Ohio Northern University this Saturday, February 3.
The meet will feature a rolling time schedule, with field events set to begin at 11 a.m. and track events scheduled for a 12 p.m. start.
The Panthers notched a third place team finish for the women and fifth place finish for the men this past Saturday, January 27 at the Jessica Starks Open at Capital University. Four ODU student-athletes finished first in their respective events and sophomore Megan Tamasovich (Canal Winchester, Ohio) continued to top her own school mark in the women's high jump. Tamasovich took first place in the event with a jump of 1.63 meters, while sophomore Bryanna Barber (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) earned first place in the women's 200 with a sprint of 27.23. Senior Justin Carroll (Berea, Ohio) and the men's 4x400 meter relay team of Carroll, sophomore Draven Bass (Circleville, Ohio), freshman Amir Metts (Cincinnati, Ohio) and senior Avery Sumpter (Lima, Ohio) took home top honors in the men's 4x400 with a time of 3:26.82.
In two of the Panthers' four indoor meets thus far, both the men's and women's squads have finished in the top five as teams. Ohio Dominican has seen four indoor school records realized this season with four weekends of competition remaining in the indoor season.
