COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Dominican track & field's Justin Carroll (Berea, Ohio) earned an NCAA Division II provisional mark in the men's 800, while Draven Bass (Circleville, Ohio) and Megan Tamasovich (Canal Winchester, Ohio) earned top five finishes in their respective events at the Buckeye Tune Up inside French Field House on the campus of The Ohio State University on Friday evening.
Carroll took second place out of eight competitors in the men's 800 with a run of 1:54.70, and his converted time of 1:53.09 is an NCAA Division II provisional mark. The senior was named Great Midwest men's athlete of the week for his school-record breaking performance in the 800 at Grand Valley State last Saturday with a mark of 1:53.77.
Tamasovich notched a jump of 1.58 meters in the women's high jump to take fourth place out of 10 competitors in the event. She has earned four first place finishes and has placed in the top five on six different occasions in the women's high jump this season.
Bass also took fourth place, notching a top jump of 6.74 meters in the men's long jump. The mark was just 0.02 meters off Bass' indoor school record mark of 6.76 meters that he set earlier this season.
Ohio Dominican will look forward to competition in the Great Midwest Championships at Hillsdale College next weekend.
