COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two more G-MAC games await the Ohio Dominican women's basketball team prior to a two-week holiday layoff as the Panthers take on Davis & Elkins on the road Thursday and return home to play Alderson Broaddus on Saturday.
The Panthers split a pair of games last week, defeating Ursuline 88-71 on Thursday before falling 72-64 to Lake Erie on Saturday.
In those contests, sophomore Angela Troyer led ODU with 25.0 points per game on 58.6 percent shooting, to go with 4.5 rebounds and three steals per contest. She also drained 8-of-12 three-pointers.
Junior Alexa Fisher has averaged 6.3 assists over the past three games, to go with 16.7 points per game in that stretch, and has now scored in double figures in six straight games and in eight of ODU's nine contests.
Sophomore Taylor Harazin provided a strong punch off the bench as she scored 10 points with six rebounds against Ursuline and seven points and seven boards against Lake Erie, making 3-of-4 shots from the field in each game.
ODU has posted strong defensive numbers over the last three games, limiting opponents to 66.0 points per game on 37.8 percent shooting, including 32.8 percent from behind the arc.
The Panthers are shooting 42.2 percent from the field during that stretch and have protected the ball, turning it over just 10.7 times per game, while handing out 15.3 assists per contest in the last three.
ODU won both meetings against the Senators last year, scoring a 73-64 road victory and an 86-68 win in Alumni Hall.
The Panthers have won all four meetings with AB dating to the 2015-16 season. Last year, ODU scored a 79-74 win on the road, overcoming a 10 point fourth quarter deficit, and a 73-60 victory in Alumni Hall.
