Women's Golf Holds Tie for Eighth After Day One of Flyer Intercollegiate

LEMONT, Ill. -- Ohio Dominican's women's golf team holds a tie for eighth after shooting 350 on day one of the Flyer Intercollegiate Monday at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club.

The event has 12 teams and 62 total players. Minnesota State holds the day one lead as they shot 311. Lewis is five shots back shooting 311 while McKendree is one shot back of them. Upper Iowa and Purdue-Northwest round out the top five as they shot 342 and 344, respectively.

The Panthers trail Bemidji State by five shots and Winona State by just two shots.

Natasha Ainsley-Thomas of McKendree and Madison Hill of Lewis hold the day one lead as they each shot 73.

Ohio Dominican was led by junior Bailey Krueger (Canal Winchester, Ohio) who holds a tie for 19th as she posted a round of 85.

A couple shots back of Kruger is fellow junior Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) who holds a tie for 27th after shooting 87 while senior Kaylin Dill (Sedalia, Ohio) holds a tie for 34th after shooting 88.

Juniors Tori Jones (Ashland, Ohio) and Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) rounded out the five for the Panthers posting rounds of 88 and 90 to tie for 39th and 48th, respectively. 

The Panther tee off in day two of the Flyer Intercollegiate at Cog Hill on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
