Women's Golf Holds Tie for Seventh at KWC Regional Preview

OWENSBORO Ky. -- Ohio Dominican's women's golf team holds a tie for seventh place after shooting 325 day one of the Kentucky Wesleyan Regional Preview Saturday at Pearl Golf Club in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Illinois-Springfield leads the event after shooting 301 and Jennifer Queller of Ill-Springfield leads after shooting 73.

Leading the way for the Panthers in round one was junior Bailey Krueger (Canal Winchester, Ohio) who is tied for 10th after shooting 77. 

Holding a tie for 17th is fellow junior Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) who shot 79 along with classmate Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) who shot 80 and is tied for 21st.

Junior Tori Jones (Ashland, Ohio) and senior Kaylin Dill (Sedalia, Ohio) rounded out the Panther five with scores of 89 and 90, respectively.

Playing as individuals for the Panthers were freshmen Natalie Parker (Ostrander Ohio) who shot 84 and is tied for 39th while Alex Gomez (Morrow, Ohio) who is tied for 46th and shot 85.

Day two of the Kentucky Wesleyan Regional Preview tees off tomorrow at Pearl Golf Club in Owensboro, Kentucky.
