Women's Golf Heads to UD Fall Invitational for First Time

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's women's golf team heads to the Dayton Fall Invitational this Monday and Tuesday at the NCR Country Club where they will play the North Course.

The Panthers took a week off after playing in the Lady Bulldog Fall Invitational on Saturday, September 28 where they finished fifth. This will be the first time the Panthers have played in the UD Fall Invitational.

In a weather shortned event, ODU shot 330 the last time out at the Katke Golf Club.

Senior Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) led the way for the Panthers finishing seventh overall shooting 78 while fellow classmate Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) finished tied for 13th shooting 80.

Sophomore Natalie Parker (Ostrander, Ohio) and senior Bailey Krueger (Canal Winchester, Ohio) shot rounds of 85 and 87 to finish tied for 25th and tied for 34th, respectively.

Freshman Alyssa Newsom (Granville, Ohio) will round out the Panther five after she shot 88 and finished tied for 39th. Sophomore Alex Gomez (Morrow, Ohio) will play as an individual for the second tournament in a row after she shot 85 to finish tied for 25th at the Lady Bulldog Fall Invitational.

Both rounds of the Dayton Fall Invitational will be a shotgun start with round one beginning at 11 a.m. and round two beginning at 10 a.m.
