Chris Deibel enters his ninth season as the head men’s and women’s golf coach at Ohio Dominican.

Deibel has developed the men’s and women’s teams in to one of the premier programs in the state of Ohio in its short history.  In the past eight seasons at ODU, Deibel has coached 15 individual champions, three NAIA All-Americans, 19 all-conference selections, eight GCAA All-Region players and led his teams to 16 team championships and two National Championship appearances.

He also has been successful in developing a standard of excellence for his players in the classroom. Along with 19 Academic All-Americans, Deibel has coached eight NAIA Academic Teams.  The men’s golf team is a five-time NAIA Scholar Team Award recipient and in 2010 was named the Men’s Golf Academic National Champions.  The women’s team received the NAIA Scholar Team Award three consecutive years from 2007 to 2009.  Last season, two of his women’s golfers were selected to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Division II All-America Scholar Team, while one of his men’s golfers was voted to the Capital One Academic All-District IV Second Team.

Deibel previously worked as the Head Golf Pro at The Willows Golf Club in Groveport, Ohio.  He is a graduate of the PGA Golf Professional Training Program, where he received the Titleist/Footjoy Scholarship for exceptional performance. 

He received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Capital University, and was a four year member of the Crusaders golf team.

Deibel is an 11-year member of the PGA and current member of the GCAA, NGCA and is a certified putting instructor with SeeMore putters, one of only two certified instructors in Ohio.  In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Deibel serves as the conference coordinator at Ohio Dominican.

He currently lives in Lancaster, Ohio with his wife, Abby, and their three children, Ellyn, Carsten, and Hogan.
