Aimee Simonet returns to the Ohio Dominican women’s soccer program as the newest member of the Panthers’ coaching staff, assuming the responsibilities of assistant coach.

Simonet, a four-year member of ODU’s soccer team, started every game in goal for the Panthers over her last two seasons, posting impressive performances throughout her tenure. She earned 2010 All-GLIAC Second Team honors following her senior season after recording a 9-4-3 record and tying the ODU all-time record for shutouts in a season with eight. The eight shutouts were also second-most in the GLIAC, while her goals against average of .85 ranked third in and her save percentage of .816 was fifth. Simonet, the school’s co-leader for career games in goal, was also named to the A.I.I. All-Conference Second Team as a junior after compiling an overall mark of 12-3-3.

Simonet is originally from New Albany, Ohio, where she played at New Albany High School before attending ODU. She graduated in May 2011 with a degree in Sport Management.
