Panthers Earn Another 5-4 Road Win at Ferris State

The Ohio Dominican women's tennis team earned another road win on Friday afternoon, defeating Ferris State University, 5-4.

The Panthers took 2-of-3 doubles courts to begin the match giving ODU the early lead. Gabriela Bowe (Fr./Freeport, Bahamas) and Regina Camberos (Jr./San Luis Potosi, Mexico) earned the win on court two, taking the match 8-3. On court three, Alejandra Gonzalez (So./Caracas, Venezuela) and Ana Pico (So./A Corona, Spain) held on for the 8-6 win.

Singles play saw the Panthers fight their way through a quality Bulldog team. Camberos earned the first singles point for ODU at #6 singles, winning 6-3, 6-2. Gonzalez was next off, winning on court five, 6-4, 6-3. Pico clinched the match for the Black and Gold, winning at #3 singles, 6-2, 6-3.

ODU returns to action tomorrow as they travel to Allendale, Michigan to play Grand Valley State University. The match is set to begin at 11 a.m.
