Marv Whiting joins the Ohio Dominican coaching staff after a 33-year teaching and coaching career with the Columbus City School District. Whiting worked as the defensive coordinator at Brookhaven High School and helped guide the team to the Division II state championship in 2004. He also coached track and field.

Whiting, a Cleveland native, attended John Adams High School before graduating from Central State University. He and his wife Carla have two children, Donna and Kenneth.
