INDIANAPOLIS – Following a prolific weekend at the Midwest Region Crossover, freshman Amanda Remmetter (Springfield, Ohio) was named the G-MAC West Division Player of the Week on Monday.
Remmetter finished with 57 kills (4.4 per set) and hit .317 in the three matches while also tallying 21 digs (1.7 per set.) ODU was one of just two G-MAC schools to win two matches at the Crossover and Remmetter had a pair of 20-kill efforts in the process.
In ODU's first match against Maryville, she finished with 28 kills and hit .354, chipping in with six digs, to help the Panthers to a five set win. Her 28 kills are the most by a G-MAC player this year and the fifth-most in conference history.
The Panthers also scored a five-set win over Purdue Northwest, and Remmetter notched a double-double with 21 kills and 11 digs in that contest while hitting .309.
Remmetter now has five double-doubles on the season and has tallied 20 or more kills in three matches. She ranks sixth in the G-MAC with 3.57 kills per set and seventh with 4.0 points per set.
Ohio Dominican returns home to host Trevecca Nazarene at 7 p.m. Friday in Alumni Hall.
