Cross Country Races at the JennaStrong Fall Invitational Friday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's cross country teams competed at the JennaStrong Fall Classic Friday evening on the campus of Wilmington College.

A total of seven personal bests were posted by the Panthers where the women finished 19th and the men finished 24th.

Sophomore Ashley Wihl (Williamsport, Ohio) led the way for the Panther women recording a personal best 20:38.5 in the 5K race and freshman Haleigh Spencer (Hilliard, Ohio) finished just behind Wihl recording her personal best with a time of 20:54.2.

Freshman Paige Boehringer (Covington, Ohio) finished with a time of 21:13.0 while fellow classmate Emma Lutz (Celina, Ohio) finished in a time of 21:45.7 which was also her career best.

Rounding out the Panther women was freshman Mary Walton who finished with a time of 25:06.5.

On the men's side, freshman Caleb Belmont (Carroll, Ohio) led the Panthers finishing the 8K race in a career-best time of 26:37.5 which is the second fastest 8K time by a freshman in school history and was also his career best.

Junior Keaton McNair (Pickerington, Ohio) also posted a career best time of 28:06.0 while sophomore Sean Noll (Sheridan, Ohio) finished with his career-best time of 28:34.9.

Senior Jaren Gilliam (Euclid, Ohio) and sophomore Ethan Sinning (Tipp City, Ohio) rounded out the Panther scoring finishing with times of 31:25.7 and 31:59.1, respectively.

The Panthers will take a week off before getting ready for the G-MAC Championship at Gilmour Academy hosted by Ursuline on Saturday, October 26.
