BAY CITY, Mich. – Ohio Dominican's baseball team was selected fourth in the 2014 GLIAC Baseball Preseason Poll in voting conducted by the conference's coaches.

The Panthers picked up 90 points in the voting, finishing behind Grand Valley State (118), Wayne State (106) and Ashland (101).

ODU finished with a 17-16 conference mark in 2013 and went 25-28 overall, advancing to the conference tournament for the first time since joining the GLIAC. The Panthers won two games in the tournament and reached the championship round on the final day of competition.

Overall, the Panthers return all but two starters from that team, including four players who earned All-GLIAC honors in 2013 – senior first baseman Anthony Raschilla (Girard, Ohio), senior center fielder Jossue Delgado (Barinas, Venezuela), junior pitcher Daniel Mooney (Wauconda, Ill.) and junior catcher Kyle Tisdale (Uniontown, Ohio). Additionally, sophomore Jacob Horsley (Thornville, Ohio) was named to the GLIAC All-Tournament team, and senior Drew Ryan (Newark, Ohio) transferred in after earning all-region honors at Urbana last spring.

ODU has started the 2014 campaign with a 1-2 record. The Panthers return to action on Saturday, March 8 for a doubleheader with Gannon in Winter Haven, Fla., to kick off their spring break trip.
