Panthers Make First Appearance in Midwest Baseball Rankings

DALLAS – Ohio Dominican's baseball team made its first appearance in the Midwest Region rankings since joining Division II, sitting at No. 8 in this week's poll, according to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).

The Panthers went 9-3 on their 12 game trip to Florida over Spring Break, earning wins over Minnesota State, which is first in the Central Region and No. 2 nationally, and Seton Hill, which is ranked No. 9 in the Atlantic Region.

ODU is 10-5 overall and begins GLIAC play on Thursday with a 2 p.m. doubleheader against Lake Erie at Frank Damian Field at Panther Valley. ODU will also entertain Ashland, which is ranked second in the region, for a three-game set on Saturday and Sunday.
