COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's basketball team travels over to Elkins, West Virginia to take on Davis & Elkins before coming home to take on Alderson Broaddus this weekend.
The contest with D&E is set for a 5:30 p.m. tip while the matchup with AB is set for 8 p.m. at Alumni Hall.
About Ohio Dominican
The Panthers come into the week with a 6-3 overall record and a 2-1 conference record after an 83-78 win over Lake Erie at Alumni Hall this past Saturday.
In that contest, balanced scoring led the way for the ODU offense. Sophomore Matt King (Mason, Ohio) set a new career-high with 19 points while junior Hasan Varence (Queens, New York) posted 18 points while grabbing eight rebounds.
The Panthers shot a blazing 57.4% from the floor which was the highest of the season and their highest since shooting 59.3% at Ohio Valley on December 2, 2017.
ODU leads the conference in rebounding margin with a +5.7 advantage over its opponents and are second in field goal percentage shooting 47.3% from the floor.
The Panther offense has three players averaging double-figures with Hickey leading the way scoring 15.4 points per game while Varence averages 12.4 per game and Tahj Curry (Fort Wayne, Indiana) getting 13.3.
Defensively, the Panthers are giving up 73 points per game while grabbing 29.7 defensive rebounds per game.
About Davis & Elkins
The Senators come into the week with a 1-6 record and 0-2 record in the conference after losses to Lake Erie and Alderson Broaddus last week.
The D&E offense is averaging 69.3 points per game but is giving up 81.9.
The offense is led by Trevor English who is averaging 14.9 points per game along with Edmund Parker who is averaging 11.9 per game.
Marcus Friend and Donte Doleman are both averaging over eight points per game as well for the Senator offense.
About Alderson Broaddus
The Battlers come into the week with a 4-4 overall record and a 1-1 record in the G-MAC after a pair of wins last week over Davis & Elkins and Ohio Valley last week.
AB is averaging 76 points per game while giving up 75.5 on 43.5% per game. They also average 38.6 rebounds per game.
The Battler offense has five players averaging at least 11 points per game led by Mike Davis who is averaging 16.0 per game.
Brandon Simmons is second on the team with 13.3 points per game while David Shriver, Tyler Golphin and Coye Campbell all average 11 points per game.
Before traveling to Sunbury Rd., the Battlers travel to Ohio Valley to take on the Fighting Scots on Thursday, December 13 at 7:30 p.m.
