LEMONT, Ill. -- Ohio Dominican's men's golf team finished tied for 10th with a three round total of 915 at the Flyer Intercollegiate at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club.
After shooting 301 in round one, the Panthers shot 315 in the second and third rounds.
Texas Wesleyan won the event shootin 886 and Matt Bennett of Minnesota State Mankato was the medalist shooting 217 over the three rounds.
Freshman Robert Holden (Hertfordshire, England) led the way for the Panthers as he finished tied for 26th with a three round total of 230. Holden improved in each round as he shot 78 in the first round followed by 77 in the second and a 75 in the final round.
Senior Drew Wayman (Wapakoneta, Ohio) finished 54th shooting 236. Wayman had rounds of 78 and 81 before shooting a final round 77.
Just behind Wayman was freshman Dalton Crowley (Nashport, Ohio) who posted a three round total of 238. Crowley finished tied for 59th as he posted a first round 70 before shooting 87 and 81 to finish the tournament.
A stroke behind Crowley was fellow freshman Brandon Wehrle (Findlay, Ohio) who sandwiched a 76 between an 81 and 82 to finish in a tie for 61st.
Rounding out the Panther five was frehsman Ben Herman (Germantown, Ohio). Herman finished tied for 66th as he started the tournament with a 75 before shooting 81 and 85 in the final two rounds.
The Panther men's golf team will take the next weekend off before heading to the Mount Vernon Nazarene Fall Invitational at Chapel Hill Golf Club on October 13.
