LEMONT, Ill. – Ohio Dominican's men's golf team finished 11th at the Flyer Intercollegiate after improving four shots to shoot 312 on day two at Cog Hill. The Panthers shot 316 on day one to finish the event shooting 628.
Sophomore Dalton Crowley (Nashport, Ohio) led the way for the Panthers in round two shooting 77 where he finished tied for 56th after shooting an 84 on day one.
Fellow sophomore Ben Herman (Germantown, Ohio) and senior Blake Saffell (Somerset, Ohio) each shot 78 in round two. Herman finishes the week tied for 23rd after shooting 77 in round one while Saffell finishes tied for 32nd with a pair of 78's.
Sophomore Robert Holden (Hertfordshire, England) shot 79 Tuesday to follow up his 81 on Monday where he finished tied for 50th overall.
Rounding out the Panther five was junior Alex Heban (Toledo, Ohio) who shot 89 in round two after an 80 on day one.
Indian Hills won the event shooting 584 over the two days and Jesse MacNaughtan also of Indian Hills was the medalist winning a playoff hole with a two day score of 144.
The Panthers will be back on the links heading to the Mount Vernon Nazarene Fall Invitational at Chapel Hill Golf Club on Saturday, October 5.
