Men’s Soccer Drops 2-1 Decision To Findlay

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Findlay edged Ohio Dominican 2-1 on Wednesday night at Panther Stadium in the first Great Midwest Athletic Conference match for both squads.

ODU (1-2-0, 0-1-0 G-MAC) finished the match with six shots on goal and goalkeepers Clayton Hildebrand (Findlay, Ohio) and Robby Frye (Cincinnati, Ohio) finished with four saves combined.

Sophomore Cameron Christian (Pataskala, Ohio) led ODU's offense with three shots on goal.

Trailing 1-0 to open the second half, the Panthers saw the game tied after pressure applied on the kickoff towards Findlay caused the ball to find the back of the net on an own goal just 10 seconds into the half, tying the game at 1-1.

But a goal in the 70th minute by the Oilers was enough to seal the win for UF, 2-1.

Ohio Dominican will look to get back in the win column when it travels to Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday for a 3 p.m. EDT/2 p.m. CST match.
