COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican softball team welcomes Walsh to Panther Field on April 13 for a conference doubleheader, but the game will not be the only highlight, as the Panthers host their 5th Annual Friends of Jaclyn Game.
For the past five years, ODU has been a supporter of the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, which is a non-profit charitable organization that improves the quality of life for children with pediatric brain tumors and their families. ODU will recognize its honorary team member Reagyn Semler along with her family before the first game on Sunday. Adopted by the Panthers in January of 2010, Reagyn will throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the fourth straight season and will be joined on the field by both teams.
Last season, the Panthers raised $2400 dollars.
During Sunday's games, ODU will host a silent auction with items including OSU football tickets, ODU sports gear, various gift baskets, and gift cards. There will also be opportunities to make donations with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to the FOJ Foundation.
If you are interested in making a donation or learning more information on the FOJ Foundation, please visit their website at www.friendsofjaclyn.org.
