Louisville, Ky. -- Ohio Dominican's softball team had six players named to the Easton Scholar-Athlete honors list by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Thursday.
The list featured 6,280 softball players from around the country and across all divisions.
Freshman outfielder Emma Bergman (Oak Harbor, Ohio), junior pitcher Abby Lamping (Cleves, Ohio), freshman catcher Raemon Meents (Downers Grove, Ill.), senior pitcher Bailey Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio), junior catcher and third baseman Kelly Mix (Baltimore, Ohio) and senior middle infielder Liz Sutter (Mansfield, Ohio) were named to the All-American Scholar-Athletes list by the Easton/NFCA.
Bergman posted a 4.000 grade point average in her first year on campus while playing in 20 games and with five at-bats and four runs scored.
Lamping led the Panthers in the circle posting a 16-8 record in 160.2 innings pitched while posting a 3.800 gpa in the classroom her junior season.
Meents played in 20 games her first year on campus and having 34 at-bats where she had five runs batted in and also posted a 3.780 GPA.
Miller, the senior pitcher, appeared in four games with three starts and a 1-1 record while having a 3.800 gpa in her final year on campus.
The junior catcher and third baseman, Mix played in 51 games last spring hitting .270 with 29 RBI's while taking care of business in the classroom with a 3.930 gpa.
Sutter played in all 56 games a year ago in the middle infield for the Panthers where she was second on the team with a .367 average with an on base percentage of .414 and recorded a 3.560 gpa in her last year in a Panther uniform.
Last year, the Panthers went 35-21 and an 18-6 conference record and return to the field to kickoff the 2019 season on Friday, February 8 in Huntsville, Alabama against Union (Tenn.) at 12 p.m. and West Alabama at 4 p.m.
