BAY CITY, Mich. -- Senior Broegan Sautter (Bellville, OH) has been named the GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in her last two matches.

Sautter's first career player of the week honors is the fifth time the Panthers have received an award this season.

Sautter helped the Panthers clinch a share of the GLIAC regular season title this past weekend with wins over Ferris State and Lake Erie. She scored the lone goal of the match against Ferris State on a shot from 30 yards out. Sautter then followed up her solid performance on Thursday with an assist in the 4-1 victory at Lake Erie on Saturday.

The Panther defense allowed just one goal in the two matches. Sautter and the rest of the defense allowed just six shots to reach the goalkeeper.

Both of Sautter's goals this season have come from long distance. After this past weekend, Sautter, a defensive midfielder, now has five goals and six assists in her career.

The Panthers will host Northern Michigan for the GLIAC Quarterfinals at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. ODU was rewarded the number one seed after defeating the other co-GLIAC champion, Grand Valley State, earlier in the season.
