Women's Soccer Receives Four Second Team Daktronics All-Midwest Region Selections

ROLLA, Mo. -- Four players from the Ohio Dominican women's soccer team were named to the Daktronics All-Midwest Region Second Team.

The Panthers received two midfield and two defense selections on the second team, voted on by the region's sports information directors.

Senior Jordan Mazzi (Sunbury, OH), junior Lauren Pratt (West Chester, OH), and sophomores Amanda Fodor (Hilliard, OH) and Kethryn Mattingly (Beavercreek, OH) were the four panthers selected.

Mazzi: The midfielder earned her first Daktronics All-Region selection this season scoring five goals, and assisting on a career high three assists. She played in every match during the 2014 season, breaking the record for most games played all-time in ODU women's soccer history, at 76. Mazzi also earned a First Team All-GLIAC selection, as well as GLAIC Offensive Player of the Week this season. All-time, Mazzi ended her career ranked inside the top 10 in goals (20) and points (44).

Pratt: The midfielder has been named to her second All-Region Second team selection. Pratt was also named to the Second-Team All-GLIAC, GLIAC All-Tournament team, and the Capital One All-Academic Midwest Region Team. She has a total of 12 points this season, including five goals and two assists. As a junior, she already ranks in the top six all-time in ODU history in goals (20), assists (11), and points (51).

Fodor: The sophomore defender was selected to her first All-Region team. Fodor was a part of a Panther defense which allowed just 18 goals in 21 games. Starting in all 21 matches, Fodor helped the Panthers to record nine shutouts on the season. She also scored two goals, while adding three assists.

Mattingly: The defender played in all 21 games, starting 20 times. Mattingly and the Panther defense recorded the nine shutouts, and a goals against average of 0.83 on the season. Mattingly added one goal and two assists for ODU on offense.

Overall, the Panthers finished the season 15-5-1, while capturing their first GLIAC regular season championship. ODU made their first appearance in the GLIAC tournament championship game, as well as their first NCAA national tournament appearance. The Panthers were ranked as high as 21st nationally, setting many school records including, most wins in a season (15), most consecutive wins (10), longest unbeaten streak (10), most postseason wins (2), most games played (4), and most consecutive postseason wins (2).
