Women’s Soccer Drops 3-0 Decision At Ohio Valley

VIENNA, W.Va. — Ohio Dominican's women's soccer team fell by a final score of 3-0 at Ohio Valley on Saturday in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference match.

The loss is the first Great Midwest defeat for the Panthers (6-3, 4-1 G-MAC) on the season and snaps a four-match winning streak enjoyed by ODU.

Ohio Valley (5-0-2, 4-0-1) took advantage of two penalty kick goals in the contest and held just a slight 17-16 advantage in shots. Ohio Dominican held a 9-7 edge in shots on goal for the match.

Senior Alli Pavlik (Cortland, Ohio) and sophomore Becca Gordon (Johnstown, Ohio) led the Panthers with four shots apiece. Junior keeper Marissa Wierzbicki (Powell, Ohio) notched six saves in the contest.

ODU will look ahead to road matches at Alderson Broaddus on Thursday and Davis & Elkins on Saturday.
