FINDLAY, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss at Findlay to the Oilers in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup Thursday afternoon at DeHaven Field.
With the loss, the Panthers drop to 5-2 overall and 4-1 in the G-MAC while Findlay advances to 5-0-2 overall and 4-0-2 in the conference.
After a scoreless first half where ODU outshot the Oilers 3-2, Findlay got on the board quickly in the second half as Megan Kupetz scored her first of two goals in the 47th minute.
The Panther offense answered to knot the game at 1-1 in the 63rd minute as sophomore Samantha Buck's (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) corner kick found the head of freshman Katlyn Jamiel (Wilmington, Ohio) for her first career goal as a Panther.
Kupetz found the back of the net for her second goal in the 74th minute to put the Oilers up 2-1 where the 90 minutes concluded.
ODU was outshot 8-6 by Findlay while each team had five corner kicks and 11 fouls.
The Panthers return home on Saturday as they host Tiffin with kickoff set for 12 p.m. at Panther Stadium.
