Volleyball Drops Three Set Decision To Walsh

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to visiting Walsh Saturday evening in G-MAC play from Alumni Hall.

Junior Kelly Nadler (Leipsic, Ohio) had eight kills and freshman Alexis Young (Gahanna, Ohio) added seven to lead ODU. Freshman Ashton Barr (New Castle, Ind.) had 21 assists and freshman Dharma Jolas (Fort Wayne, Ind.) added nine digs.

The Panthers built an 11-8 lead in the first set on a kill by freshman Jill Pyles (Bronson, Mich.), but Walsh drew even at 12-12 and pulled away later for a 25-18 win.

In the second frame, ODU (3-15, 2-8 G-MAC) was within 10-9 on a kill from Young, but the Cavaliers (14-4, 8-2 G-MAC) took control by scoring the next four points and won the set 25-19 before closing the match with a 25-9 win in the third.

Ohio Dominican will head to Aurora, Ill. for a trio of matches at the conference crossover tournament Friday and Saturday. Matchups have yet to be determined.
