The Panthers concluded play Friday evening with a three-set loss at the hands of host Clarion (23-25, 16-25, 19-25).

After dropping the second set, ODU used a 9-0 spurt to build a 15-6 lead and didn't look back from there. The Panthers hit .444 in the set, registering 15 kills with just three errors in 27 swings while limiting Millersville to an .034 percentage.
ODU then found itself in a 15-11 hole in the fourth set but battled back with five straight points, capped on Barreto's kill. The teams exchanged points until it was 25-25, when a kill from Skidmore and another from Barr sealed the match. It was another prolific offensive set for ODU, tallying 20 kills and hitting .298 in the frame.
In the nightcap against Clarion, the Panthers fought back from an 8-2 deficit in the first set and took a 19-17 lead. ODU remained in front at 23-22 following a Clarion service error, but the Golden Eagles scored the final three points to take the set.
