Volleyball Suffers Three Set Defeat At Cedarville

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's volleyball team fell in three sets to host Cedarville in G-MAC play on Friday night.

Sophomore Alexis Young (Gahanna, Ohio) recorded a team-high nine kills while freshman Amanda Remmetter (Springfield, Ohio) added seven. Freshman Zoë Carmichael (Wooster, Ohio) tallied 14 assists and classmate Tate Rybarczyk (Avon Lake, Ohio) led the Panthers with 11 digs.

Freshman Trinity Mixon (Cleveland, Ohio) led all players with five block assists as well.

After dropping the first set, ODU trailed just 17-15 in the second frame before the Yellow Jackets pulled away. ODU then held an early 5-2 lead in the third set and trailed 20-16 before Cedarville extended its advantage late.

Ohio Dominican remains on the road for a 2 p.m. match at Tiffin on Saturday.
